Peyton Swan currently holds the position of Global Machinery Diagnostic Services Manager for Rotating Machinery Dynamics (RoMaDyn) in Tampa, Florida.
He has spent 16 years with Bently Nevada’s Machinery Diagnostic Services department helping customers solve vibration problems on large rotating machinery. Prior to his current position, Peyton was the Machinery Diagnostics Service Manager for the Southeastern region for Bently Nevada. He has also held various other positions with Bently Nevada including Principal MDS Engineer; Aeroderivative Research Project Leader; Diagnostics Team Leader and other field engineering positions.
Peyton has also served as a design engineer for the Ohio Class ballistic missile submarines while with General Dynamics Electric Boat Division and as a field hardware engineer refurbishing the space shuttle solid rocket boosters for United Space Boosters, Inc.
Peyton received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida in 1982 and holds a Professional Engineering license in the state of Florida. He is the author of several papers on rotating machinery diagnostics.
